I think that I have been spoiling myself for just a *little* bit too long. Taking care of the baby has been absolutely wonderful, and she is not even a bad sleeper. She eats around 10, and then sleeps from like 11 to 2:30 or 3, and then sleeps again from like 4 to 6:30 or 7. So I can get about 6 hours of sleep. The problem is that after she falls asleep at 7, I have been falling asleep again too so that I am waking up around 9 a.m. And I think that I am just oversleeping, because that is PLENTY of sleep and I should not feel tired. But I do.
Also, I have a paper to be writing. Except that I would rather play with Sophia. :/ Kind of a losing situation for the paper, I think. I wouldn't want to compete with Sophia...
HAHAHAHA oh Katie, Don't be hard on yourself. You are doing a great job. You will adjust soon enough. I don't blame you for wanting to play with your baby. She is easily one of the cutest babies I have ever seen. And I think most babies are ugly.
ReplyDeleteJust write your paper when she is asleep and don't worry about it the rest of the time... and eat walnuts... I think they are a high energy food.... or so I heard!
Also... weird! We posted at like... the SAME MOMENT! crazy.
I think most babies are ugly too - I was glad that she is so cute! But I am probably a little bit blinded by the fact that she is mine.
ReplyDeleteI will have to try eating walnuts. I have been having more protein lately because I have been making myself egg-white omelets for breakfast... Did you know an egg white has only like 20 calories?? Goodbye baby weight! I hope!
Whatever! You look great! I saw tht photo of you out on a walk!
ReplyDeleteMy mom says that she ALWAYS lost her baby weight if she breatfed. She said it was almost always gone within 3 months when she breastfed. Are you breasfeeding?
I am breastfeeding. I think breastfeeding is part of the miracle of having babies. It is pretty amazing that God has provided for babies everything they need for those first few months of life, and that it is perfectly suited to their dietary needs, and it changes as they change. I mean, really, how amazing is that? Pretty amazing, I think.
