6. Only 6 hours from the beach! Just far enough away that the politics and traffic of CA can't quite reach you, but just close enough you can visit the beach any weekend you like. 7. Cacti are.... neat. Or at least some people think so (I believe you are one of them).
8. Kara Lives Here..... and we could set our husbands up on playdates. I am sure they'll have a great time.
9. Best gun laws in the Nation. We make TX look liberal (when it comes to guns)
10. Mesa.. LOWWWW property taxes and cost of living.

12. Safe weather, no snowstorms, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, or wind. oh oh oh, it hailed once. The scariest thing you have to face is drought, and we are SO good with our water we sell most of it to CA.

20. Indian Ruins. One of the COOLEST things about american history that you can't find anywhere else in the world. And they are everywhere here.

Haha this is an amazing and comprehensive list. I was laughing when I started reading it and the numbers kept going all the way down to 21. All of those are excellent reasons (especially number 7, I do think cacti are neat!). Seriously amazing reasons, and they are all spot on. In fact, they are so convincing that I started packing my bag to move out there...
ReplyDeleteHowever, you are forgetting one thing. I will help you:
1. Zach is applying to Law School at the University of Minnesota, so Kara and Zach will be moving here once he gets accepted (assuming he appropriately brown-noses, because this is all it takes). This fact along makes it so that 1, 3, 5, 8, 11, 16, 17, and 21 are still relevant. Also, I am 5 minutes away from a beach. Is it a fancy, California beach? No.. but, it is a nice, sandy beach at the lake where you can go and sit in the sunshine or they have umbrellas up for you, and stuff...
Also, we might have tornadoes sometimes...but there are not giant bugs and spiders here. Which is a huge plus. I mean, I don't like snow at all (this year was awesome- we got a grand total of less than 5 inches!! Hardly snowed at all!!) but I really don't like bugs at all either.
